"We talk of the Second Coming; half the world has never heard of the first. — Oswald J. Smith"
At times people watch TV and can get so lost in the show they are watching that they lose sight of what is around them. Life is also like that. The world we live in and the lives we lead can do the same thing at times. It can make us lose sight of those things around us. When I say around us, I do not necessarily mean in the same room, but rather in the same world. You see, while the Earth itself is big, the world is not that distant anymore. Modern technology has provided ways to reach out to someone on the other side of the Earth in a matter of seconds. Yet even with the most advanced technology, there is nothing that provides faster and more reliable results than prayer. It is the one technology that is never outdated, never changing, and always works. We are building a 24/7 online prayer portal with audio, messages, and live streaming video prayer rooms that enable to you interact live.
Today there are somewhere around 6,892,000,000 men, women, and children in the world according to the United States Census Bureau. We see people on the news and in magazines who suffer from hunger, disease, rape, genocide, war, and slavery. Those people can seem so distant, and we tend to forget about the images soon after seeing them. The truth is that for anyone who has been to those places and met those people, the reality is something that some wish they could forget but never can. David Livingstone who was a missionary to Africa once said, "Sympathy is no substitute for action".
Not every person has money to donate or the ability to jump on a plane and go to the places in the world that need us most of all. Yet every person has at least a few minutes of each day that they could spend praying. Don't be deceived. Prayer can shake nations. Prayer can break chains, release bonds, and destroy strongholds. James 5:16 from the bible says, "The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much." That means you, me, the neighbor next door, the person in the store, and the person driving the car next to you. The time has come for Christians to step out of their comfort zones and to understand it can't just be about us anymore. It is bigger than that. It is about our communities, our cities, our neighborhoods, our states, our nations, our countries, and our world. 1 Corinthians 12:27 says, "Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it." Jesus said he is coming back. In case you were never told, let me tell you some of the most amazing news ever. JESUS is coming back. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or next week, but it could be. Yet there is a world out there that is suffering. There is a world out there in pain. There is a world out there that has no hope because no one has ever given them anything to hope about or anyone to hope in.
That is what Prayer International is all about. We about reconnecting the Body of Christ so that the entire world can come to the knowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. This is not about us. It is about Him. It is about those people in this world who need Him. 2 Corinthians 5:18 says, " Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us". It also says, "And you will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of the streets in which to dwell." (Isaiah. 58:9-12).
Prayer International is a vision that was birthed in the hearts and minds of Christians all over the world. It was created to allow ministries, and missionaries, and churches, and Christian companies, and individual people to come together as one Body on behalf of the millions and millions who do not know Jesus. It was created to provide prayer, funding, and resources to missionaries out in the fields doing those things that most Christians only talk about. Above all it was created to be a house to glorify God and exalt the name of Jesus.
“Believers who have the gospel keep mumbling it over and over to themselves. Meanwhile, millions who have never heard it once fall into the flames of eternal hell without ever hearing the salvation story.” — K.P. Yohannan, founder of Gospel for Asia Bible Society
God is real. God also really loves you. More than you will ever understand. If no one ever told you that, that is the most important thing we could ever tell you. It does not matter who you are or what you have ever done. God still loves you. The bible says:
"But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed ...even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:21)
And then it says:
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 6:23)
What it means is that all of us have sinned. There is no one who has not sinned. The punishment for sin is seperation from a relationship with the true God who created the heavens and the Earth. That is the only thing worse than physical death. That is something He could not bear because He does love you. So He sent His only son Jesus Christ from a small town called Nazareth, to die for your sins. That means that all of the punishment we deserve for our sins were paid for by Jesus. It also means that you are special. It means that God wants a relationship with you. He wants to be in your life, and He wants you in His. All you need to do is recieve this free gift of salvation He wants you to have.
Wherever you are today, today is the day. Now is the time. If you want to be saved, and you want a relationship with God, just pray something like this (the words do not have to be exact, just let it come from your heart):
Forgive me of my sins
Thank you for sending your Son Jesus to die for me
I believe you died for me and rose from the dead
I accept you as my Lord and Savior
Now just believe that He has come into your life. If you have any questions or would like us to pray for you, please contact us. We have a team of people who are here 24 hours a day for you.
